Multi-Cultural Dance Room

June 18, 2012

Arts, Dance

The grade eleven dance majors had the pleasure of having guest artist, Gina Fernandez, in their dance class.  She taught them a combination of  the two styles of dance, Bungra and Bollywood.

Her main focus was to teach the complex style of Bungra. The dancers quickly adapted to the easier movement so Gina decided to teach the faster, more advanced style, which wasn’t so easy. By the end of the class the dancers had worked very hard and were sweating oodles.

All in all, everyone took had an enjoyable experience, and gained a new appreciation for the culture of Bollywood dance.
