Mrs. Mason’s Grade 3’s Want to Play

June 25, 2012

Elementary, Humor

Mrs. Mason’s Grade 3 students had the urge to escape into the nearly empty halls left by the absent high school students on Friday.  Like little mice, they scurried in the extra space. “Yeah! We have the whole school to ourselves!”

It would seem a natural urge for any kid to spread out into forbidden territory when opportunity presents itself.

What would they be able to do? Where could they scurry without the extra teen “cats” around?

The target for the grade 3’s was to move into some empty lockers. It will be years yet until they can claim one for themselves. That seems desperately unfair in the opinion of these 8 and 9 year old children.

“It’s no fair!” They all agree on this. Still… while the top cats are away, the little mice will play.

Elementary students still have a few days of school remaining. This week there is sports day, year-end field trips and desk cleans to look forward to.
