On December 12-14th the Dance Majors of Langley Fine Arts choreographed dances based around the theme of a Key.

They were challenged to somehow incorporate the aspect of a key within their dance and express it through their movement and music.

Some took this idea into a literal aspect, and many decided to see it as more of a conceptual idea. Whether it was a key point in time or a longing to get to that key achievement, the dances were amazing and expressive.

The dances themselves ranged from serious, to light hearted.

The shows were greatly received and all the dancers performed amazingly.

Along with the performances on the Friday morning mantinee, the musical theatre students displayed what they have been working on. They sung “America” and “Tonight” from the Broadway musical “West Side Story”. The acting and singing was fantastic and great to see such enthusiasm portrayed through their acting and singing.

Congratulations for the wonderful performances, and the marvellous choreographers.
