Lunar New Year Dinner

All sorts of savory festive dishes filled up the cafeteria on Friday, February 1st. International students and some of their parents gathered to

celebrate the most significant traditional holiday in China, Lunar New Year.

The international students’ teacher, Mr.Majdanac, first gave a word of thanks with a short speech explaining the event and before long, teachers, parents and students stood in a line, filling their dishes with different kinds of foods prepared by parents.

While people were enjoying their meal, Lily Chia, Christine Yang and Beryl Liu played traditional Chinese instruments and Grace Kim performed a Korean traditional dance. Through this successful dinner party, people could share a variety of cultures and appreciate their different backgrounds.
