computer animation

At Langley Fine Arts, we have a computer animation class taught by Donna Usher.

The course is fun and enjoyable, but it was challenging at first because we had to use programs such as Adobe Flash, and Blender. With the help from Donna Usher and Alex Honeywell, a graduate from LFAS, students were able to continue to explore new ideas and create an animation in their own style.

We began the class by making flip books and shared our ideas with the class, and later we each made a stop motion video of our own. Students chose their own materials; some made theirs in clay, safety pins, dots, and even puzzles. Then we continued on with 2D animation using adobe Flash. Finally, we finished the class with a 3D animation project. The class has been a blast.

Here are some of our projects below.

1) One Christmas Morning by Elaine Lee, Rebecca Lee, and Dasom Han

2) Piggy by Elaine Lee

3) Dot by Rebecca Lee

4) Girl Before A Mirror by Jane Lee

5) Making Jigsaw Puzzles by KangWoo Kim

6) The Arbitrator by Jane Lee, KangWoo Kim
