In response to famous environmentalist, Rob Stewart, who is visting Langley Fine Arts School on March 1st, the photography majors went on a field trip to capture local environmental issues.

On February 14th, the Gr. 11 and 12 photo majors visited Brae Island to take important local matters into their own perspectives. Even though the students were in the same location, they found different environmental issues.

The trip encouraged students to be more aware of the local issues and personalize these environmental issues with their daily lives. By attaching themselves to the matters, the photo students were able to fully appreciate Rob Stewart’s contribution and dedication to create his world renowned documentary, “Sharkwater.”

Rob Stewart will be speaking at LFAS on March 1. Click here for tickets: Arts Matters
