Made By Hand

Arts, Events, Visual Art

Students in grade 8-12 created beautiful art for a gallery opening on February 21st. It displays art forms made by hand (fitting to the name).

The creations consist of sock monkeys and woven baskets by Mrs. Bennett’s 8th grade class, hand-print tiles and clay pots by her 9’s and 10’s. Mr. Sarganis’ 9th grade visual art class made realistic looking hammers out of paper mache and wood.

Charming scarves and tie-dyed quilts were made by the 11\12 fabric and fibre class. The grade 11 visual art students made wooden boxes out of thin wood sheets which they cut into geometric shapes to glue onto the boxes.
