The Little Factory in Social Studies 9

Mrs. Carnrite’s Grade 9 class experienced the harsh conditions of an industrial revolution factory inside the classroom.

The class first watched a documentary called “Manufactured Landscapes” which features factories in China.

Students learned how to be patient, since they only had one repetitive job throughout the class.

Some students received single mint patties instead of a salary. ¬†Others were fired because they weren’t doing a good job.
