Meet the New Grade Eights!

What’s scarier than starting a new school? Starting a new high school. We decided to interview some new students on their new experiences. If you recognize them at school, don’t be shy and say hi! They’re all getting used to LFAS and we should try and make them feel welcome. Meet the new grade eights!

Maicie
What school did you come from?
Peterson Road Elementary.
What’s different here compared to Peterson?
We didn’t have Dance, Drama, And we didn’t move classes.
Your favourite thing at LFAS?
Drama class.

Shayna
What school did you go to before?
I was home schooled until now.
What’s the difference between being home schooled to high school?
It’s more social, more friendly, and I’ve met more friends.
What’s been your favourite experience so far?
Dance class!!!!!

Liz
What school are you from?
Alex Hope Elementary.
What is different from your old school?
People are more friendly.
What has been your favourite experience so far?
My art classes.

Lyka
What school did you come from?
Betty Gilbert Middle School.
What’s different here at LFAS?
The grades here go from grade 1-12.
What has been your favourite experience here so far?
All the different arts!

Haley
What school did you attend before?
Lynn Fripps Elementary.
What’s the difference between your old school and this one?
It’s smaller than my old school.
What has been your favourite experience so far?
The arts.

Lucy
What school do you come from?
Inman Elementary.
What’s the difference between this school and your old one?
There were not many art classes at my old school.
What’s your favourite experience/attribute of this school so far?
I like how the school is small but in a good way, so that you can know everyone.

Ella
What school are you from?
Yorkson Creek Middle School.
What is different here at this school?
This school is more artsy.
What’s your favourite thing/experience at LFAS so far?
The way you can express yourself better.

Duncan
What school did you come from?
H D Stafford middle school.
What is the difference between that school and this one?
This one is..better.
What do you love most about being here?
How this school embraces the arts

Kelsey
What school did you come from?
Betty Gilbert Middle School
What is the difference between that school and this one?
This school is nicer, more artistic and energetic.
What’s your favourite thing/experience at LFAS so far?
Dance class!

Angeles
What school did you come from?
Bradner Elementary
What is the difference between that school and this one?
The classes at this school are faster, more efficient and fun.
What’s your favourite thing/experience at LFAS so far?
Drama class and newspaper!

Emily T.

Davy Jones Elementary.
What is the difference between that school and this one?
My other school was small and older. This one is bigger and more modern.
What do you love most about being here?
Drama classes!

Katrina

This school is bigger and has lots of lockers.
What do you love most about being here?
Drama classes!

A big thank you for those brave enough to be interviewed, and an even bigger thanks for helping with this first interview article of the year.
Remember, LFAS is a great school, enjoy it!

It’s safe to say that most new students are enjoying the arts, and are impressed by how nice everyone is here.
